Daily Publication During Orientation Week The Tech will publish daily from August 25 through August 29. Orientation is the best time to make a first impression upon new students as freshmen and new graduate students will form the consumption habits they will maintain for several years during this period. During Orientation, The Tech will print a complete listing of planned campus and social events, making the newspaper a necessity for freshmen and upperclassmen alike.

Fall Career Fair MIT hosts a number of career fairs throughout the academic school year; the first and largest will be held on September 18. This career fair is where many seniors and graduate students will be starting their searches for where to work after their graduation. The September 16 issue of The Tech is a great opportunity to reach students during MIT's Career Week.

Family Weekend Family Weekend is a time for MIT families to discover MIT and all that the Institute has to offer. Family Weekend 2007 brought over 2,300 parents, siblings, and friends of students to campus. Each year, Family Weekend provides families the opportunity to interact with faculty and administrators to experience MIT culture first hand. This year's Family Weekend is being held from October 17-19. The Tech will publish on October 17.

Independent Activities Period Between MIT's fall and spring semesters is the Independent Activities Period. The Tech will publish on Wednesdays during January. Starting on January 5 and running until January 30, 2009, IAP is a time for students to explore interests that do not necessarily have an academic focus. They can take classes ranging from Japanese to Pottery Making, explore Boston, or take advantage of many other exciting opportunities. Regardless of what students choose to do, IAP is a period when students have the most free time to explore Cambridge and Boston.

TBP Career Fair The beginning of the spring semester also brings the Tau Beta Pi Career Fair on February 3. The Tech, which publishes on that day, can help you reach the many MIT students who will be looking for summer internship opportunities during that time period.

Spring Break MIT's spring break, March 23–27, occurs at the midpoint of our spring semester. Spring Break is a great time for students to escape the rigors and surroundings of MIT by traveling, spending money, and relaxing. Our last issue before Spring Break is March 20.

Campus Preview Weekend MIT's Campus Preview Weekend is an opportunity for newly admitted students to visit campus and experience MIT first-hand. 1,021 prospective freshmen and many of their parents descended upon MIT for CPW 2008. This year's CPW will be held from April 16-19. The Tech will print on April 17.

Commencement June 5 is the date for our full-color Commencement issue. This issue is a great keepsake for over 2,000 graduates and their families.
